A job fair is planned at the Ritz Charles Banquet center at 137th and Antioch in Overland Park, KS from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday.
More than 50 companies are ooking to hire under-employed people in the area.
The sales manager who put this job fair together says if you're just tired of what you do for a living, it's time for a change.
“Everybody talks about the unemployed but we're really looking for the underemployed those who took less than ideal jobs because they lost their jobs for some reason,” said John Gallagher, the vice president of sales at Cumulus radio.
Gallagher says first impressions make a big difference.
“It's just like anything else. It's your elevator speech. It's that 30 second speech you'll give these recruiters that'll put you in the right pile instead of the left. You really want to impress them with that first touch,” said Gallagher.
