KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Interstate 70 was re-opened Tuesday night after a crash near midtown Kansas City had both directions blocked.

The crash happened between the off ramp and on ramp at 23rd Street.

Police said the accident was on the eastbound lanes. Cars in those lanes were being diverted onto the off ramp and back onto the highway from the on ramp.

There were only minor injuries in the crash, but it involved the concrete barrier in the median of I-70, so authorities had to clean up debris before they could re-open westbound lanes.
