KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One person was taken to an area hospital and another was taken into custody early Monday after apparently flipping a maintenance vehicle that may have been stolen from a Kansas City high school.
Police and emergency crews responded a little after 3:15 a.m. to the area of 119th and State Line Road in Kansas City, Mo., to a report of a rollover accident.
Arriving crews found one person with their leg trapped underneath what they initially thought was an ATV.
Further investigation concluded it was actually a maintenance vehicle that may have been stolen from Barstow High School, just north of the accident site on State Line Road.
Emergency personnel removed the vehicle from the person’s leg and took him to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
A second person was taken into custody. It wasn’t immediately clear if anything else was stolen from the high school.
