SALINE COUNTY, Mo. - A traffic stop on Interstate 70 yielded an unexpected find for a Missouri state trooper -- 22.5 pounds of marijuana.

The trooper pulled over a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze for a traffic violation in Saline County on Thursday. Because of the driver's "inconsistencies and deceptive behavior", according to the Highway Patrol, the trooper asked if he could search the vehicle.

The driver agreed.

The marijuana was found inside the trunk.

Matthew D. Barbour, 25, of Pilot, Va., and Kermit L. Hundley, 26, of Fancy Gap, Va., were both arrested for second-degree drug trafficking. They were taken to the Saline County Jail.
