OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Authorities temporarily closed a street in Overland Park as they tried to get a woman who had allegedly attacked her father out of a house.
Overland Park Police were called to the area of 78th and Lamar on a domestic disturbance at about 10:30 a.m.
Officers discovered a man who says his adult daughter had struck him in the head with an unidentified weapon.
The father was out of the house with minor injuries when police arrived, but the woman would not come out.
Police roped off 78th Street between Lamar and Metcalf for about 45 minutes while they tried to get the woman to come out.
She was taken into custody without incident just before 11:15 a.m.
The woman’s father refused transport to an area hospital.
