INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - Police in Independence are looking for a man wanted in connection to a home invasion that left three people dead last week.
The suspect is identified as 32-year-old Antonio Cervantes III. He is about 5 foot 7 and 140 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.
The home invasion occurred Friday morning in the 1500 block of S. Pope in Independence, Mo.
Four people were shot, according to police. Killed were Maria Hernandez, her son Antonio Hernandez, and her boyfriend Thomas Madrigal. The fourth person was seriously injured.
Investigators say the crime was not random and Cervantes had known associations with residents of the home where the crime occurred.
According to the Independence Police Department, Cervantes is associated with the following addresses:
- 5209 7th Street, Kansas City, Mo.
- 516 Lawndale, Kansas City, Mo.
