RAYTOWN, Mo. - Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting after a person of interest in an armed robbery pulled a gun on police.
Police were called to the Burger King near Raytown Road and Blue Parkway on reports on an armed robbery around 8 a.m. Friday.
Shortly after, authorities spotted a man matching the suspect description near Little Blue Road and 79th Street.
When police attempted to stop his car, he pulled out a gun. He was shot by the officer.
He was taken to a nearby hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
Police said the officer has been placed on administrative leave, which is standard protocol.
