BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced Friday that a Blue Springs youth soccer coach is facing additional felony charges.
Richard G. Burroughs, 43, now faces a total of three counts of child molestation, two counts of statutory sodomy and one count of third-degree assault.
Two girls, ages 11 and 12 years old, told Blue Springs police the abuse happened this fall. However, it wasn't until the two talked about what happened around the New Year’s holiday, that they decided to tell an adult.
A third victim, aged 13, saw the January news reports about Burroughs and stated that she had been assaulted by him as well.
NBC Action News' Beth Vaughn contributed to this report.
