KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A 14-year-old boy was charged Wednesday in a shooting last week that left a 2-year-old boy hospitalized.
The suspect, who has not been identified because of his age, was being held at the Jackson County Detention Center.
He was arrested Tuesday night. Police said at the time of his arrest that he had a gun in his possession.
The victim was watching a movie inside his house, near 16th and Topping in Kansas City, Mo., on Nov. 9 at about 10:30 a.m. when he was shot from outside.
A pre-trial hearing will be held Nov. 28 to determine if the suspect will be transferred to the adult criminal system.
The 2-year-old victim remained in stable condition at an area hospital.
