LEAWOOD, Kansas - Police say they have arrested one person who they say burglarized a Leawood Apple store early Thursday morning.
Police say a little before 3 a.m., the suspect – and perhaps others - broke the glass in front of the store, 4529 W. 119th St., and grabbed what may end up being a “significant” amount of laptops and phones.
Officers arrived a couple minutes later and chased at least one suspect, but nobody was immediately arrested.
Mjr.Troy Rettig with the Leawood Police Department says one person was later arrested and was expected to be charged in the burglary.
Authorities say they arrested another person during a traffic stop they initially thought was involved, but later said that person was not a suspect in the burglary.
Rettig said the investigation was ongoing and he wasn't sure if any more arrests would be made.
If you know anything about what happened, you’re urged to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
