Car chase suspect rams police cars, drives through yards in high-speed pursuit in KCK

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A car accident turned into a high-speed chase Wednesday night in Kansas City, Kan.
Police were first notified of a crash on northbound Turner Diagonal at 65th Street around 8:30 p.m. When they arrived on the scene, one of the drivers and a woman who was injured in the wreck got into his car and sped off.
Officers pursued the suspect in a chase that went off road and through fences into several residents' backyards near 81st and Leavenworth Road.
The suspect started ramming two police cars before turning himself in to police near N. 81st Street and Ella Avenue.
No police officers were injured.
The driver and his injured passenger were both taken into custody.
