KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The driver of a stolen car crashed into a guardrail over Interstate 70 early Wednesday, leaving the rail hanging over the roadway.
One lane of Interstate 70 was closed at the Cleveland Avenue overpass for several hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
According to police, it all started as a carjacking at about 1 a.m. Wednesday. The driver then crashed into the guard rail at 26th and Cleveland, at the bridge that spans over Interstate 70.
The driver of the stolen car sustained minor injuries and was taken into custody.
