The death of a man in rural Centerview, Mo. is being investigated as a homicide.
At 11:33 a.m. on Jan. 25 police responded to a medical call in the 300 block of Graham St. in Centerview. When they arrived they found Walter Hayes Feldman, 41, dead from a gunshot wound.
Hayes Feldman was in his bed at the time.
More than two dozen investigators with the Major Case Squad are assisting the Johnson County, Mo. Sheriff’s Office with the case. They have pursued around 60 leads in the case.
Johnson County Sheriff Chuck Heiss said that this was the first homicide in Centerview in his 16 years on the job.
The population of the town is around 250 people.
