KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police found a man on his front porch Thursday morning with severe stab wounds.
Police say it happened just after 8 a.m. in the 6600 block of E. 17th Street.
The man, going in and out of consciousness, was rushed to the hospital while police waited for a search warrant to search his home. In the meantime, police found a person of interest in a home nearby. Police did say the victim likely knew his attacker.
Police took the victim's dog into custody so they could safely investigate the home.
The victim was in critical condition when he arrived at the hospital.
