KANSAS CITY, Missouri - A former Liberty school superintendent has admitted to deceptive business practices.
A court ruled Scott Taveau must pay the school district $7,500 in resitution.
An NBC Action News investigation in 2008 discovered monies missing from the Missouri public school retirement system, Taveau violated a rule that prevents any retired school employee from working full-time in a Missouri school, while drawing a full state pension.
Taveau still faces a civil lawsuit filed by the Missouri public school retirement system.
