APRIL 5, 2012 KCMO police are on the scene at 24th and Hardesty. The call came into 911 dispatchers as checking on the welfare of a person.  Upon locating the victim, police are now treating it as a homicide.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The victim of a Kansas City homicide has been identified.

Police say Robert Batchlor, 33, was found at 24th and Hardesty in Kansas City, Mo.

According to the KCMO Police Department, the landlord of the property went to check on him and notified officials when he didn't respond.

Officials pronounced Batchlor dead at the scene. He turned 33 on Monday.

Police are asking for anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-8477 or the Homicide Unit at (816) 234-5043.
