OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - A man in his mid-30s suffered life-threatening injuries after being stabbed with a sword early Wednesday morning.
Overland Park police were called to the 6400 block of W. 151st Place at 3:30 a.m. According to police, Dustin Evans, 27, and another man were involved in horseplay with the sword.
Police said Evans stabbed the other man with the sword. The man was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries.
Evans was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery and great bodily harm. He had an additional outstanding warrant.
Evans first court appearance was Wednesday afternoon.
