KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Police arrested one man after a late-night robbery turned into a hours-long standoff.
Police said a person made a phone call about 10 p.m. in a house in the 2000 block of East 70th Terrace.
They asked a representative of an adult entertainment company to send a woman to the house, poilce said in a news release.
The woman got there and several men descended on her car and robbed her.
Two hours later, the same call was made to the same company.
An employee realized the phone call came from the same house and alerted police.
Officers found several men standing outside the house, but the men quickly went inside when they spotted police, the news release stated.
A special police unit found one man hiding in the house and arrested him.
The officers checked the house and the standoff ended about 8:45 a.m., police said.
No injuries reported.
Robbery detectives will put together a case for prosecutors to review.
