KANSAS CITY, Missouri - Prosecutors charged an 18-year-old man Wednesday in connection to a triple-murder last month inside a Northland motel room.
Isaac Perdomo-Paz of Kansas City, Missouri, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of armed criminal action.
According to police, Dejan Joksimovic, Armin Hamidovic, both 18, and 22-year-old Delfino Elizondo were attending a drinking party in the early-morning hours on Feb. 26 when they were shot to death.
It happened at the Red Roof Inn near Interstate 435 and Armour Road.
There were several other people inside the room at the time, police said, many of whom ran away before police arrived.
At a news conference Wednesday, Clay County Prosecutor Dan White said the case is not over; it is an ongoing investigation.
White said there were several people at the motel and detectives want to speak to them.
Bond was denied for Perdomo-Paz. White said it is too early to decide on whether to seek the death penalty.
Earlier this week, Perdomo-Paz was held by police as a person of interest in the case . Officers were also looking for a Jeep in connection to the case.
