KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City police officer shot and wounded a man after he pointed a gun at authorities in a downtown parking garage Sunday morning.
Just after 1 a.m., officers were called to the garage at 8th and Grand Avenue after reports that two men were trying to break into cars in the area.
One of the men pointed a gun at police when they arrived and was shot by an officer, according to a news release from the KCPD. He was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The second man was taken into custody, according to police.
No officers were injured.
