KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A man and woman were taken into custody Tuesday after a standoff at an apartment in Kansas City.
Officers were called to the apartment building near 34th and Troost around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday on a disturbance.
The standoff ended just before 4:45 a.m.
It remained unclear what exactly brought police to the apartment in the first place. Nobody was injured, though the man was taken to an area hospital as a precaution.
Authorities had evacuated some neighboring apartment residents while they were engaged in the standoff.
We have a crew on the scene and will bring you more information as it becomes available.
