Assault call turns deadly near Highway 71

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Police are investigating a murder near Highway 71.
Police were initially dispatched out on an assault call at just before 10 p.m.. in the 3600 block of Highland.
When they arrived, they found a man believed to be in his 20s suffering life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he were pronounced dead.
Police did not have any suspect information.
