KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A man was arrested Saturday, accused of fighting with a woman and setting a Kansas City apartment on fire. He then left the area with the pair's child.
Police said the man set the fire at the Longfellow Heights apartment complex in the 2600 block of Harrison Street. No one was hurt in the blaze.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, and residents of neighboring apartments were allowed to return to their homes.
Police said the man returned to the apartment with the child and was arrested. The woman took custody of the child.
