GLADSTONE, Mo. - Authorities have convened a Metro Squad to investigate the murder of a man who died early Tuesday, several hours after he was stabbed inside a Gladstone duplex.
Gladstone Police spokesman Richard King says the unidentified victim was stabbed about 11:40 p.m. Monday in the duplex, at 64th and Wyandotte.
The man’s girlfriend drove him about two miles to a Kansas City fire station at 81st and North Oak, where crews rushed him to an area hospital, King said.
The victim died a little after 4 a.m., according to King.
When officers returned to the duplex, nobody was there.
Metro Squads are formed in when local departments need extra resources to investigate crimes.
If you know anything about what happened, you are urged to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
