Man dies in Kansas City pickup truck shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A man died after being shot late Thursday night in the back of a pickup truck.
Police say it happened around 10:50 p.m. at St. John and Topping.
The pickup truck’s driver tried to take the victim to the hospital, but police caught up with him a few blocks away at St. John and Oakley.
According to crime statistics on CrimeReports.com, this is the fifth homicide in the eight-block area surrounding St. John and Topping since January.
Police did not have any suspect information to pass along.
