GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. - Police in Grain Valley are searching for a man who shot his girlfriend Tuesday night.
Police were called out to RD Mize Road and Kirby Road just before 6 p.m. on reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a woman shot in the face.
She is in critical condition.
Authorities are looking for the victim's boyfriend, 37-year-old Alan Lovelace Jr. of Blue Springs, Mo., who they believe pulled the trigger.
After the shooting, Lovelace fled the scene in the victim’s 2002 gold or silver Chevrolet minivan with Missouri license plates MG4-LOB.
Lovelace is described as a white male about 5’10” tall, weighing 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He sometimes wears glasses.
