Independence, Mo. - Three men wearing masks entered an Independence home early Tuesday morning and shot the homeowner in the head.
Police sad the men broke into the home in the 8800 block of Wilson Rd. about 12:45.
They reportedly shot the homeowner in the head and left the scene.
The male homeowner was conscious and alert when transported to an area hospital.
