KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Prosecutors charged a Michigan man with the rape of a Kansas City woman.
Police say LaAnthony Jones abducted a woman Wednesday morning near Independence Ave. and Wabash.
Police say Jones pulled up next to the victim and another woman, and forced the victim into his semi cab. He then reportedly beat and raped her.
Police later rescued the victim when they pulled Jones over at Interstate 470 and Hillcrest on the city's southeast side.
The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office is charging Jones with rape and felonious restraint.
