ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - A Missouri man faces charges after his son drowned in the bathtub of their St. Joseph home.
Shawn D. Winkfield-Manyard, 24, is charged with involuntary manslaughter.
Police were called to the home in the 800 block of N. 5th street the evening of Aug. 2 on a possible drowning.
When they arrived, they found the boy, who was approximately 7 months old, unresponsive next to the bathtub.
Paramedics performed CPR on the boy before transporting him to a local hospital, where he later died.
