KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City woman faces charges after her infant baby sustained several injuries -- including fractures in both his legs.
Lacresha R. Young, 21, was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree endangering the welfare of a child and child abuse on Friday.
The child, identified only as T.W., was not even 1 month old when the alleged abuse occurred.

Officials at Children's Mercy Hospital contacted the Kansas City Police Department on Nov. 6 after noticing signs consistent with child abuse during an exam. Among T.W.'s injuries: three fractures on his right leg, and one fracture on his left leg.
While Young initially denied knowing how he was hurt, she admitted that she caused his injuries six days later, according to the police report.
Prosecutors are requesting a $100,000 bond.
