NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. - School officials put North Kansas City High School on a precautionary lockdown just after noon Wednesday. The lockdown was lifted just before 2 p.m.
Police said someone at the school spotted a white car with someone inside who may have had a gun.
Authorities recommended the school go into a precautionary lockdown. When officials looked for the suspicious vehicle, they did not find anyone.
Students and staff were kept inside the school. The school has an open lunch policy, meaning students can leave for lunch, but because of the lockdown, the school kept students inside and provided lunch.
