One dead, one injured after shooting on Southwest Boulevard

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One person is dead and another is in the hospital after an overnight shooting in Kansas City, Mo.
Just after 3 a.m., authorities drove up on the scene at Avenida Cesar E Chavez and Southwest Boulevard, according to a statement from the Kansas City Police Department.
When they arrived, they found a black male in his 20s dead from an apparent gunshot wound. The second victim had already been taken to an area hospital. He is in critical condition, according to police.
