GRANDVIEW, Mo. - One juvenile suspect has been charged in the robbery of an 85-year-old disabled Grandview veteran.
According to a news release, the 14-year-old has been charged with 2nd degree robbery, 1st degree burglary and two counts of armed criminal action.
Video from the crime shows two young men approach a Grandview home around 6:15 p.m. Sunday, with one knocking on the door while the other stands guard.
When the disabled veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars answers the door, the first young man enters, followed by the second.
Less than a minute later, they run. But back out front of the house, they round up the rest of their gang.
Minutes later, seven suspects rush to the door, where inside police say they hit the homeowner in the head.
They also stole two handguns and a rifle, but that is not on the video because the suspects use a ladder to turn the security camera down at the ground.
