One man shot and killed outside Kansas City laundromat

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police are investigating an overnight homicide outside a Kansas City laundromat.
Officers were called to East 57th Street and Troost Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. on a shooting.
Police have identified the victim as 38-year-old Vernon Ray Carney of Kansas City, Missouri.
When they got to the scene, officers found Carney with a gunshot wound dead inside a vehicle.
Police say there were a lot of people outside at the time of the shooting.
