Parents at day care targeted in car thefts, Independence police say

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - Police in Independence say a thief is targeting parents’ vehicles.

The pictured man is a suspect in several vehicle larcenies. He has been known to break into vehicles as they drop their children off at day care, police spokesman Tom Gentry said in a statement.

Authorities didn’t say which day care facility has been targeted, or if more than one was targeted.
