PLATTE CITY, Mo. - A Platte City, Mo., pastor accused of peering into a woman’s bathroom window pleaded not guilty on Tuesday.
Kelvin B. Lambert, 39, was charged with attempted invasion of privacy and trespass in August. According to court documents, a witness told police she saw a man standing on a plastic lawn chair and peering into the bathroom window of a home in her neighborhood.
The witness wrote down the man's license plate number and reported him to law enforcement.
Lambert, a pastor at the Second Baptist Church in Platte City, entered his plea in Platte County Court. His wife was in attendance. His attorney, Kevin Jamison, declined to comment on specifics of the case.
Lambert's next court appearance is scheduled for November.
