BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - Three people were arrested after an hours-long standoff in Blue Springs.
A police spokesman says it all started when officers were called to a hit-and-run accident around 3 p.m. on 7 Highway near Keystone Drive. A woman and her daughter were treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses reported seeing the suspect run into a nearby residence in the 300 block of SW Stonewood Court.
Authorities barricaded the cul-de-sac when the suspect did not come out of the home.
Two people came out after a couple of hours. They were arrested on unrelated warrants, but police say they were not involved in the hit-and-run.
The suspect surrendered around midnight.
No injuries were reported.
