Police identify murder victim found in driveway as Kansas City teenager

KANSAS CITY, Missouri - Police have identified the person found dead in the driveway of a home Saturday morning as a Kansas City teenager.

Kansas City Police were called to the 300 block of Topping around 7:10 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they found Wilmer Perez, 17, of Kansas City, dead in a driveway.

The owners of the home said they heard explosions the night before, but thought it was fireworks associated with the holiday.

Police have not said how Perez died.
