EDWARDSVILLE, Kan. - A young man was taken into custody Tuesday, hours after neighbors say they saw him drag a woman into an Edwardsville apartment.

Investigators spent hours unsuccessfully trying to make contact with the man before obtaining a search warrant and entering the apartment.

Neighbors told police they saw the man forcibly drag the woman into the apartment, in the 400 block of River Fall Drive, around 2:30 a.m.

Investigators made contact with the man’s family, but were unable to get a hold of anyone inside the apartment for several hours.

Jenna Hanchard is on the scene. We will post more information here as it becomes available.
