KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police investigating the discovery of a man’s body in the lawn of a Kansas City residence discovered two additional bodies inside of the home, a mother and her son.
Officers were initially called around 8 a.m. Monday to a disturbance in the 3900 block of The Paseo.
When they arrived, they found a man dead in the yard of a residence. He has been identified as Edward Williams, 57. Police said that Williams was working on a vehicle when he was killed.
Shortly after noon, investigators said when they obtained a warrant to enter the home, they discovered two more people - a man and a woman - dead inside.
According to Darren Snapp, the Kansas City, Mo. Police Public Information Officer, the people inside the home were a mother and her son.
They have been identified as Donna Pike, 62 and Herschel Pike, 41.
Donna Pike has lived in the home for at least 20 years.
There is no suspect information available.
