LIBERTY, Mo. - A 15-year-old female student at Liberty High School says she was attacked by a man with a knife near her bus stop Thursday morning, police in Liberty said.
The student was near her bus stop at the corner of Missouri and Murray streets, according to a Liberty Public Schools spokeswoman.

She was then attacked by a man. Police say there was a struggle. They found her backpack in the street.
The girl escaped with minor injuries and returned home, where her father called police. No ambulance was called, according to police.
The girl described the suspect as a white man in his 40s with salt and pepper-colored hair.
He wore a plaid jacket and blue jeans paint splotches on them, a Liberty police spokesman said.
