KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Police are looking for a man and a woman who they say robbed and shot a man Thursday night after the man ran out of gas.
Police say the victim ran out of gas in the area of Missouri Highway 210 near Chouteau Trafficway just before midnight. The two suspects spotted the victim and offered to drive the man to a nearby gas station.
But when the three got back in a car to head back to the victim’s car, the suspects instead drove to a dead end where they demanded the victim’s wallet.
The victim handed over the wallet and tried to run away, but was shot in the next with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police describe the two suspects as a black male about 6’3” with braided hair, and a white female, about 25-years-old, with two-toned blond hair, a black T-shirt and blue jean shorts. She has a tattoo on her right calf and a prominent tattoo on her right upper thigh.
Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-8477.
