KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police have identified a man who died in a shooting in south Kansas City early Saturday morning.
Richard Preston, 23, of Kansas City died after being shot around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of 86th Street and Troost Avenue. Police responding to a call of shots having been fired saw a car speeding from the area to Research Medical Center and followed it there. Once the car stopped, they found Preston dead inside.
Police said they have no description of a suspect in the case, so they are asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline, (816) 464-TIPS (8477).
