Police: Fake cop sexually assaults Kan. teen

OSAWATOMIE, Kan. - Osawatomie Police are searching for a man who allegedly posed as an officer, pulled-over an 18-year-old woman and sexually assaulted her.

Police say it happen shortly before 10 p.m. Monday near US 69 Hwy. and 327th Street in Miami County.

The suspect was reported to have been driving a white Crown Victoria with lights on the front dash and a siren.  Police say he also had a gun and badge on his belt.

The suspect is described as a white male who was in his early 20's with a mustache and goatee.  He is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and wore a black polo with a law enforcement badge sewn on the chest and black pants.

Police say this man is not a law enforcement officer, and they encourage anyone who may have witnessed the traffic stop to call the Osawatomie Police Department at (913) 755-2101.
