KANSAS CITY, Mo. - It was one of Kansas City's most compelling cold cases.

Leon Jordan gunned down outside the Green Duck Tavern at 26th and Prospect in July of 1970.

The case remained unsolved until 2010, when the Cold Case Squad cracked the case and three suspects were charged.

A special presentation by the Ad Hoc Group Against Crime shed more light on how the case was cracked.

"We got this confirmed what happened, because the girlfriend, she's alive, she confirmed this story right down to the tee," said Sergeant Richard Sharp, with Kansas City's cold case squad.

The three suspects were James "Monk" Johnson, James "Doc" Dearborn, and Robert "Bob" Willis.

They have all since passed away.
