AURORA, Colo. - Aurora police said they have arrested a suspect in Friday night's armed robbery at a Target pharmacy.
Police said John Pomeroy, 33, was being held in lieu of $50,000 bond for investigation of various felonies, including aggravated robbery of controlled substances.
Authorities said the robber fired a gunshot inside the store on one of the busiest shopping days of the year.
According to police, no one was injured when a masked gunman fired into the ceiling at the Target pharmacy around 6:30 p.m. Friday. The gunman fled from the store on foot.
The store was evacuated, but until that point some customers weren't even aware a robbery had occurred.
Aurora was the scene of a massacre when a gunman opened fire inside a movie theater July 20.
