KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A standoff at a Kansas City parole office has ended after an armed employee who reportedly fired a shot in the building was arrested without further incident.
Police on the scene say an employee fired a gun at a Kansas City probation office and locked himself in his office.
Officers were called about 11:30 a.m. to the District 4R-Kansas City Parole and Probation Office, 1330 Brush Creek.
Authorities said nobody was injured when the shooting happened.
The employee was in a secure room and didn’t appear to be a danger to anyone else in the building, a police spokesman said.
The building was evacuated as a precaution.
We are working on gathering more information and will post it here as soon as it becomes available.
