Shots reportedly fired in Shawnee Hy-Vee parking lot

SHAWNEE, Kansas - Shawnee police are investigating a reported shooting in a Hy-Vee parking lot Tuesday.

The shooting reportedly happened around 12:40 p.m. at the Hy-Vee located at 13550 W. 63rd St.

According to Shawnee police, 19-year-old Dylan Mollentine reported he was shot while entering the back door of the Hy-Vee.

Mollentine walked himself into the Shawnee Mission Medical Center Emergency Room.

Mollentine suffered a single gunshot wound to his arm.

Shawnee police say their investigation has determined the shooting did not occur at the Hy-Vee. The location of the shooting is not yet known.

Mollentine 's girlfriend, who drove him to the hospital after the shooting, has been arrested and charged with felony obstruction for providing false information on the location of the shooting.

Officers continue to investigate the shooting.
