Lecompton, Kan. - Kansas City police began following a reported stolen car at 11th & Euclid, and followed it through several cities at high speeds before the suspects were finally caught in Lecompton.
Shortly after 3:30 police began following a Nissan Maxima that was reported stolen from Mission.
The vehicle headed into KCK, at speeds up to 90 miles per hour.
KCK then got involved, as the suspects fled on I-70 westbound.
Shortly after 4:00 p.m. the Kansas Turnpike Authority began following the car.
Troopers say the vehicle was traveling more than 100 m.p.h. with only the police helicopter above.
Just east of Lecompton the Highway Patrol deployed stop sticks, and flattened the front tire.
The vehicle drove through the turnpike KTAG gate, then stopped on 1800 road, and the driver bailed out, but was caught after a short foot chase.
Four other suspects ages 16-21 stayed inside the car.
The driver, 21 year-old Orlando D. Anderson was arrested on multiple charges. A 16 year-old juvenile was taken to the Douglas county juvenile center.
Three others in the vehicle were let go.
No injuries were reported.
