KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The teen convicted of shooting a Kansas City magician in the head will spend the next 25 years in prison.
A Jackson County judge sentenced 19 year-old Michael Hudson for the November 2010 shooting of a man in Waldo.
Hudson shot the man in the head while he was sitting in his car in the parking lot behind Waldo pizza. The victim has performed as a magician at the restaurant that night.
Hudson was sentenced to 25 years in prison for first-degree assault and 10 years for armed criminal action. Those sentences will run concurrent.
Hudson's victim left the courtroom after the judge read the sentence. Several of Hudson's family members burst into tears.
